Description of the department: the goal of the department is research and development of physical processes and means of controlling them in internal combustion engines, steam and gas turbine plants, combined engines and power plants, boosters, fuel supply and air supply systems, lubrication and cooling systems, secondary exhaust gas heat recovery systems and cooling systems working bodies, neutralization systems for toxic substances in exhaust gases; modeling and experimental study of the processes of mixture formation, combustion, gas dynamics, heat and mass transfer, the formation of toxic substances in the combustion of fuels, vibroacoustic radiation; development of methods and algorithms for the management of power installations and their technical diagnosis.
